About the Artist

HIYA!! (waves frantically) I'm Ronnie (they/she) - it's so nice to e-meet you! I'm an aspiring children's book illustrator who makes silly and whimsical art and stationery inspired by nature <3

When people look at my work, I want them to feel the cozy warmth of sunshine after a long rainy day. My work combines mixed media applications - experimenting with watercolour, gouache, crayons, handmade textures and procreate on the iPad!

My commitment as a vendor:

Fully embracing themes of events & markets – I love it when events and markets have themes! And I will embrace these themes such as decorating my table, outfit, and making sure to have artwork and stationery that fits the theme, e.g. Valentine’s Day, Halloween etc.

Consistent Marketing – Consistently marketing the event on my social media channels, resharing promotions, and encouraging followers to attend and participate in events. If the event and time permits, also having limited promotions, such as “spend $15 and get a limited-edition sticker sheet, only available at this event” to help draw people in.

Clear & Prompt Communication – I know how busy market organizers can be! I will ensure to respond and communicate in a timely manner – no chasing me down 😊

Bringing all the fun vibes & energy

Illustrated Wood Slices

Wood you like to know how I make these...? *coughssorrynotsorry* I locally source wood slices, sand them, screw hanging pieces on the back, prime, paint, sign and varnish each piece. They take a LOT of work, but I LOVE making them - and they are a unique and original piece of art that someone can take home ʕっ•ᴥ•ʔっ

Often I make smalle versions into magnets, which come at a lower price point, so that they are more affordable!

Vinyl Stickers

I make these from a mix of digital artwork or scanned traditional art - and they are totally waterproof and dishwasher safe!

Half my sticker designs also have glitter because I am a crow and SHINY (╯✧ ∇ ✧)╯

Market Set-up

Imagine that it's been a long, chilly and rainy day - when suddenly, the rain stops, and the sun peaks out from behind the clouds, filling you with warmth. When you see my booth, I want you to feel like you're stepping into a cozy little garden filled with dew and sunshine!

My booth features a lot of wood pieces, grass, hand-painted table banner, acorns, and a cozy forest themed table runner. Depending on the event, market theme and space available, I will use different decorations (e.g. hearts for valentines, leaf garland for fall markets, ghost table cloth for Halloween) or exhibit certain items over others (e.g. didn't bring my wood artwork to the Toronto Stationery Show). I love to curate my events and make it feel like visiting my booth is a one-of-a-kind experience!
